Why change the name?

Why change the name?

Anyone new to Huntsville quickly learns the road you thought you were on just changed names. What once was Old 431, became Eastern By-pass, changed to Sutton Road and then to Cecil Ashburn. The same thing happens on Carl T. Jones. Turn one way on this schizophrenic road and you are soon driving on Bailey Cove and just as quickly turn the other and you are on Airport Road.

Why change the name?

Surely someone knows, but that has nothing to do with this post, other than the fact that we are going to run the end of Carl T. Jones through the transition to Airport Road.

Yes, it has been a while since we ventured over the Airport Road hill but Thursday is time that changes.

The route this week takes us to the end of Carl T Jones, continues straight to Airport Road and then a left on Whitesburg Road. From there we turn back toward Fleet Feet by making a left on Cole.

Just a few more turns before we head to breakfast.

One left on Cadillac.

Then right on to 4 Mile Post.

Left onto the greenway.

Right on Carl T Jones (a road that changes names0

Finally, right into the parking lot.

Enough of the story, here’s the turn-by-turn directions and the Garmin Connect route link
