Leadership Behavior: Dependability

Over the last few weeks I have been giving more details to the Leadership Behaviors I desire to model. The list of Leadership Behaviors includes:

  • Good planning
  • Open communication
  • Dependability
  • Seek God
  • Accept Instruction
  • Invest in others
  • Know my leader

I am headed down the list trying to give more thoughts on each one of these.  Below are my thoughts on dependability.

Dependability
I have often voiced and will continue to do so that when my life is over I want people to say of me that I lived a life dedicated to the things of God and that I was faithful to the call on my life and carried out those responsibilities and privileges with integrity. I wanted it to be said of me that I:
• Carry out tasks that have been assigned
• Carry out jobs/tasks/ministry in timely manner
• Accepting accountability for actions…faithfulness to assigned tasks/ministry/leadership position
• Communicate intentions/plans which establishes measurement of accountability for actions..

II Timothy 2:15 15Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

Matthew 25:21 21“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!£’
